Guggenheim Mourns the Death of Scott Minerd, its Public Face

Guggenheim Partners has implemented a succession plan following the sudden death of its global chief investment officer, Scott Minerd, who died Wednesday of a heart attack during a routine workout at age 63. “My impression is that Scott became the face and voice of Guggenheim Investments and helped the firm to establish a solid foundation from which to build based on his position as a well-regarded and highly sought-after leader in fixed income investing,” Neil Bathon, managing partner at FUSE Research Network, who did not know Minerd personally.
